Money Penny Wealth Management is a directly authorised IFA based in North East England. Founded in 2022 we are experiencing rapid growth and are recruiting an Investment Analyst to work as an integral part of our Investment Committee. We are a close knit, friendly team who pride ourselves on delivering excellent client service and place our clients at the heart of everything we do.
We are looking for an Investment Analyst who will be responsible for researching investment solutions and funds along with contributing to research on platforms, products and services. The right candidate will become the point of contact for the fund industry and must be able to lead meetings, attend events and provide support to financial planners when required and will have a lead role reporting to the Investment Committee and Board. This role provides scope for significant development in terms of seniority within the Company as we grow.
Responsibilities and Duties will include:
- Research funds and investment solutions and maintain the collective funds held within our investment portfolios.
- Contribute to the fund research process, ensuring that a clear audit trail of research, rationale and universe changes is maintained
- Contribute investment insight to the investment committee, providing research and opinion.
Requirements for this role:
- Qualifications: Regulated Diploma in Financial Planning, Investment Managers Certificate or equivalent.
- Be able to demonstrate a thorough up to date understanding of regulatory requirements affecting investment services.
- A willingness to undergo further personal and professional development; support to achieve Chartered status can be provided if desired.
- Hold a Statement of Professional Standing in line with professional body requirements
- Knowledge and understanding of global economics, financial markets, and portfolio management.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong understanding of the investment industry and major asset classes.
- Demonstrate ability to analyse facts and contribute justifiable reasoning.
- Proven experience of working within financial services for at least 3 years with previous experience working as an Investment Professional for a discretionary or advisory firm.
Be able to demonstrate effective analytical skills and the ability to pay close attention to detail.
- Able to work under own initiative, undertake independent research where appropriate, collate and analyse data and put forward a reasoned argument.
- Effective time management and the ability to work within tight deadlines.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- An ability to work as part of a team and to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
